Hello everyone, I am Awei from Zhongli, a food enthusiast.
Since I got Fooday, I’m always thinking about where to find new restaurants to introduce to everyone.
Correspondingly, my dining expenses have been increasing as well.

The store features traditional Japanese architecture, with cheerful Japanese light music playing, solid wood tables and chairs, and the fragrant smell of cypress wood in the air—
instantly putting me in a relaxed mood.
I ordered a waffle set ($220), and during the wait, I could already smell the waffles. After tasting the final product, I felt the 20-minute wait was worth it; the waffles were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a strong matcha flavor that was not bitter at all!
The wooden structure paired with floor-to-ceiling windows
and lots of trees and ema (wooden plaques) nearby
made the whole experience incredibly Japanese!
There weren't many people in the store on the weekend.

The matcha mille-feuille is not too sweet.

The seating for dining in is quite ample, and there were not many people during lunch time.

The Uji matcha cream roll is priced at 90 NT dollars, and the matcha flavor is quite strong without being too bitter 🥰.
The cake is moist and soft, slightly smaller than I expected XD.
The Kyo Uji matcha is 115 NT dollars, pure Uji matcha without added milk.
The Uji matcha soft serve is 110 NT dollars, and the texture of the soft serve isn’t too milky,
but also has a strong matcha flavor that isn’t too bitter at all.
This is a matcha🍵 light dining specialty shop, stepping into the warm Japanese wooden building felt like entering an atmosphere where trendy young people pose and pretend to be sophisticated. Everything, from the ambiance to the dishes, hit the spot for me.
They have a buy one get one free offer on matcha soft serve, and I must say, the sweet aroma of brown sugar perfectly balances the bitterness of the matcha, especially during the buy-one-get-one promotion.
The matcha soft serve paired with two glutinous rice balls (as country folks say, “tangyuan”), with their chewy texture combined with the melt-in-your-mouth matcha soft serve, gave me a delightful yet slightly painful thrill with my sensitive teeth 🦷.
The 7.8 sweetness of the red bean combined with the slightly bitter soft serve when taken in one bite creates a sweet and bitter taste, reminiscent of my ex-girlfriends holding hands and walking into my wedding venue; the memories in my heart are sweet, but my eyes are misty with emotions.

Take a photo of your food with the Fooca camera, and write a genuine dining review to earn extra income. Every meal comes with a reward!
