First of all, the reason for the two stars is not that this store is bad, but that the CP value is too low for me.
"Helen's Coffee" is located near Shin Kong Mitsukoshi in front of Taipei Main Station. It is about a 4-minute walk from Exit Z4. From the outside, the store looks quite big. I walk past it almost every day. This time, I finally had the opportunity to come in and have a drink. coffee
A group of 10 of us were looking for a coffee shop near Taipei Main Station that could accommodate so many people at one time at around 4pm on a Saturday, so we found this coffee shop
The time limit is 2.5 hours, but because we came to consume at 4:30, and it closed at 6:00 in the evening, we actually only sat for a while, which is not very cost-effective (?), how can I say? Because when we came in and took a look at the menu, we found that there were almost no drinks under $200. The most common latte cost $220. It was beyond my understanding of the price of coffee in Taipei. I think it was still in the early 100s. Yes
After taking a seat, the clerk will first serve you a small cup of iced drip coffee, and attach a small card introducing the coffee beans. It feels very particular. I think it tastes pretty good, a little sour, and overall smooth.
Hot latte $220
The introduction card says "walnuts, spices, plums; the finish is like dark chocolate, yogurt-like sourness, medium sweetness", but to be honest, I don't really understand the differences in coffee beans. To me, When it comes to latte, the only difference is whether it is smooth and bitter. This cup is a little bitter for me. The smoothness level is about 6.5-7 points. Personally, I would prefer coffee with a more milky taste.
Overall, I think Helen Coffee is a coffee shop that is very serious about coffee. There are also some coffees that sell a cup of coffee for more than $600. It is suitable for people who know how to taste coffee beans, but this is really not mine. The world, to me there is a good latte that can be had for about $100, so I probably won’t go out of my way to visit again
