Located inside the Hsinchu Daluge Nanya store, Li Kafang (Nanya store) has a convenient location and easy transportation. It's a perfect spot to grab a drink when you're tired from shopping. The environment is bright and clean, with a simple yet tasteful decor!
This time, I ordered two signature thick cream cap drinks:
《Thick Cream Cap Earl Grey + French Caramel》
Although I usually drink Earl Grey tea, it's the first time I've seen the Chinese character for "Grey" and thought it might be a movie collaboration (?), but thankfully the English description below clarified that it was indeed Earl Grey tea.
This tea itself is rich and not bitter, with ample Earl Grey aroma. The quality of the tea leaves seems to be good, as it is certainly not watered down. The cream cap is also a highlight – it's dense, creamy, and has a distinct caramel fragrance. Even after finishing the drink, there was still a good amount of cream cap left. I even went to the convenience store to buy some unsweetened buckwheat tea to pair with it, and surprisingly, they matched perfectly!
《Thick Cream Cap Green Tea + Sea Salt Cheese》
The green tea is refreshing and clear, with no off-flavors, and it pairs excellently with the salty, smooth cream cap, providing a wonderful layer of taste. Personally, I prefer the salty cream cap, as the sea salt balances out the overall flavor, making it less cloying by the end of the drink. Thus, I liked this one even more!
In summary, Li Kafang Nanya store stands out among beverage options in Hsinchu. The tea is good, the cream cap is excellent, and the prices are reasonable, making it worth a revisit!
