🐟 Must-buy souvenir in Hakata: Fukutarou's mentaiko senbei! Try all 6 flavors at once!

If you want to grab a quick bite while changing trains at Hakata Station, I found this mentaiko tasting lunch set online!

It's located on the food street near the "Chikushiguchi" exit; just go in and turn right! There are different shops in the station that exclusively sell mentaiko and senbei, but only this one offers tastings!

The cheapest option lets you choose two flavors, which comes with a bowl of white rice (200g, quite a large bowl!) and miso soup. Adding an extra flavor is just 100 yen more, and the total for all flavors is only 750 yen!

If you have any rice left at the end, you can ask the kitchen for some dashi, and you can mix it with the mentaiko furikake on the table to make a lovely tea rice!

If you love mentaiko, you definitely shouldn't miss this! However, it seems that ordering four flavors from the menu is just right; otherwise, you might need more rice, but you might not be able to eat that much 😂

After eating, you can also buy some souvenirs. Just be aware that the tasting set ends in the afternoon!
