This restaurant is very famous. At the beginning of the year, I couldn't get a reservation at all, so a few weeks before setting off this time, I was all geared up and ready to fight for a spot. Even I, who was fully prepared, could only secure a lunch slot, so one can imagine how hard it is to get a table here! After all, this restaurant is run by a Michelin three-star chef, and it has not only received Michelin stars but is also ranked among the top 50 restaurants in the world. It's located in a residential area of the 11th arrondissement of Paris; from the outside, there’s no particularly eye-catching sign, but once you step in, you are greeted with very warm hospitality, along with the wine list and drink menu. Since it's fine dining, we didn't receive the menu at first, and after preparing, the dishes started to come out.
I have to say the chef is extremely creative. Not only are the presentations of each dish beautiful, but the combinations of ingredients he can think of are also incredible! For instance, I never thought of pairing mullet roe with lilies and zucchini, but it surprisingly created a perfect balance of creamy, crisp, and sweet flavors! The ingredients used by the chef are mostly sourced locally, perfectly preserving their freshness and presenting their original flavors! Moreover, the chef is also very responsible in selecting ingredients. One of the dishes uses peaches, and the sweetness from the peaches is consistent in every bite, with absolutely no overripe or underripe situations. I truly admire the chef's attention to detail and dedication!
In fact, this price allows you to enjoy such cuisine in France, making it a relatively high value for money. However, I do think the portion sizes are a bit small, mainly focusing on creativity, atmosphere, service, and the skill of the chef! If anyone plans to travel to France, I think it’s worth making an effort to secure a reservation; it’s truly a great opportunity to taste the talent of a three-star chef! I look forward to everyone sharing their seasonal menus with me later!
