Umami is a modern asian fusion restaurant which "is dedicated to creating a unique dining experience that combines the best of both worlds, showcasing the art of umami flavors and fostering a sense of community through social dining." They serve original Chinese fusion dishes in a modern setting. The dishes are innovative with a culinary touch for an accessible price. Not only the food is innovative and different from anything else, they also serve amazing tea-pairing menus. You can choose between the social dining menu which comes with 3 courses while each course consists of two dishes to be picked from the menu. However, all dishes can be ordered a la carte as well. Additionaly there are two pre-arranged menues, the Michelin Bib Gourmand menu to be chosen between three or four courses and which is available as a vegetarian version too. We went for the Michelin Bib Gourmand menu with four courses. The selection was very well chosen. The two dishes coming for each course matched very well and delivered a journey through all different tastes. The atmosphere was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. Definately a recommendation if you like asian food and want to try many different tastes for dinner.

My family and I have been frequent visitors to this restaurant, and each time, it never fails to impress. Whether you're craving a comforting bowl of noodles or a fulfilling rice platter, there’s something to suit every palate. During our past visits, we tried their mee, which was well-prepared with a balanced seasoning that brought out the natural flavors of the ingredients. This time, we decided to go for their rice dishes, and once again, we were not disappointed. The rice was well-cooked—fluffy and fragrant—while the char siew was tender, juicy, and generously portioned. The slight caramelization on the edges of the char siew added a delightful sweetness that complemented the savory rice perfectly. Service-wise, the staff deserves praise for their efficiency. Even during the bustling dinner peak hours, we didn’t have to wait long for our food to be served. The waitstaff were attentive and quick, ensuring that orders were taken promptly and delivered to our table without unnecessary delays. Another great aspect of this restaurant is its spacious dining area. Unlike many other eateries that often struggle with overcrowding, this place offers ample seating, allowing diners to enjoy their meals comfortably. We appreciated the well-organized layout, which meant that even during peak hours, we didn’t have to queue or feel rushed while dining. Perhaps the most appealing part of this restaurant is its affordability. Compared to other establishments in the same area, the prices here are incredibly reasonable, making it a fantastic option for families and larger groups looking for a quality meal without breaking the bank. The combination of delicious food, fast service, and budget-friendly pricing makes this restaurant a hidden gem that we will undoubtedly continue to visit.
