Today, I came to the legendary Din Tai Fung in Xiluo.
The shop opens at 11 AM.
I arrived at 10:30 and was the only one in line.
I strolled around nearby and returned at 10:45, and there were nearly 10 groups already in line. 😱
The doors opened promptly at 11 AM, and those who queued early almost all found seats to sit.
Once seated, if it fills up, you can only take a number and wait.
After ordering, you need to settle the bill at the counter.
When paying, they will remind you not to add extra orders (drinks and side dishes don't count), and if you want takeout, you need to order everything at once.
Because the dishes are said to be made fresh as you order, they will inform you of the waiting time.
This time I ordered:

The noodles are a bit thick but very chewy.
The beef is tender, and they generously provide 5-6 pieces of beef in a bowl.
The broth is not overly salty, and I could finish the whole bowl without any problem!

Both types have a lot of broth,

This bowl can easily serve 2-3 people.
