The texture of the douhua is traditionally smooth and dense, with two fixed toppings you cannot choose, paired with sweet potato balls and taro balls.

This one is not solidified and is very drinkable, though it is a bit sweet and has a lingering sweetness. You can choose three toppings; this time I chose taro balls, sweet potato balls, red beans, and peanuts. The round balls are said to be handmade, and you can really taste the taro, it feels genuine. The red beans are probably sweet red beans which have their own sweetness, and the peanuts are not completely mushy, still retaining a slight crunch.
