🌟 Wanchuan Pig Trotters and Kimchi are amazing, reservations are recommended.
"Flavor of Light" Chef Qiu Guang won the National Creative Pig Trotter Cooking Championship in 2010 with his "Creative Pig Trotters". His innovative dishes combine Sichuan, Cantonese, Thai, and local Hakka cuisine, and his homemade Sunshine Kimchi is particularly unique. "I am the only one in charge of cooking here in Pig Trotter Street," says Chef Qiu Zhengguang.
Starting the meal
Wanchuan Pig Trotters 💰 Market price
The first time eating Wanchuan Pig Trotters, I truly found them incredibly delicious. They are soft yet not mushy, chewy with texture and not greasy at all—highly recommended! They are perfect for enjoying with drinks or as a snack, not hard at all and very chewy.
Sunshine Kimchi (one jar)
Served with the meal, I later bought a jar to enjoy—it’s delicious!
Oyster with Bean Crumbs (small) 💰 160
Sautéed with a mound of shredded onions, slightly sweet and fragrant from the soy sauce.
Ginger Shredded Pork Intestines (small) 💰 160
This dish has enough acidity without just being sour; the intestines are stir-fried perfectly.
Scallion Beef (small) 💰 160
Salted Egg Mushrooms (small) 💰 180
Mushrooms are deep-fried until crispy and then stir-fried with salted egg for a great mix; we are all fans of salted egg yolks! 😄
Peanut Tofu (small) 💰 120
Pineapple Shrimp Balls (small) 💰 220
The shrimp is delicious, but I’m not a fan of the outer shell.
Hakka Fried Tofu (small) 💰 120
Tofu is deep-fried to a golden crisp, drizzled with garlic sauce.
Thai Style Clams (small) 💰 160
Each clam is full, salty and fragrant—perfect with rice!
Hakka Stir-Fry (small) 💰 160
The dried tofu is flavorful and not dry or tough; I love it!
Cabbage (small) 💰 120
Water Lily (small) 💰 120
Crispy and refreshing to eat.
Stir-Fried Rice Noodles 💰 70
Thoughts: This place offers great value for money, and the food is delicious. You must order the pig trotters; one serving is definitely not enough for us! Every dish left us praising, but I wasn’t a fan of the shell on the pineapple shrimp balls. 😄
If you value the meal: Pig trotters are a must-order, highly recommend the golden kimchi, and the Hakka stir-fry is also great; you can eat anything, it’s all fantastic.
If you value the environment: The space is large, and the air conditioning is nice.
If you value parking: Motorcycles and cars can park at nearby parking lots.
If you value the restroom: There’s one for each gender, which is a bit limited.
If you value waiting in line: Reservations are recommended.
If you value service: Average.
If you value cost-performance ratio: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (Purely discussing food and pricing.)
