This little shop, hidden in the alleys near #Happiness Station on the MRT, may not be large, but the female owner has created a warm and comfortable dining environment, making you feel at home as if enjoying hand-brewed coffee at a friend's place.
I initially wanted to order their signature dessert: the signature brown sugar cinnamon roll, but the shop indicated that it wasn't available at this time (I thought to myself, it’s already 2 PM, and I can’t order that? What time do I have to wait until? 😂). So this time, I ordered their cold brew coffee ($180) and brown sugar cinnamon croissant ($150).
【Food】
☕️ Cold Brew Coffee $180
- The making of the cold brew coffee is quite meticulous; it doesn’t have a bitter taste and is very smooth.
- I particularly liked that they use large round ice cubes, which melt slowly, allowing the entire cup of coffee to maintain its ideal concentration and flavor from the first sip to the last.
🧁 Brown Sugar Cinnamon Croissant $150
- The croissant is somewhat dry, not soft or juicy enough.
- The cinnamon powder is sprinkled quite generously, which can easily overshadow the flavor of the croissant itself.
- The outer layer of the croissant is too flaky; it crumbles at the touch of a knife and fork, causing a lot of bits to fall off while eating. Perhaps I don’t quite understand the characteristics of a croissant, but this experience left me a bit puzzled; it might be a good idea to adjust the preparation method or provide more suitable cutlery.
【Service】
- The female manager seems to have a somewhat cold service style, which gives a bit of a distance feeling.
【Environment】
- Although the shop is small, it is cozy, and during non-peak hours, they do not rush customers, allowing one to leisurely enjoy their coffee time.
Overall, this coffee shop has good coffee. As for desserts, I think items other than the croissant might be better. I suggest first-time visitors start with their signature cold brew coffee and pair it with other dessert options.
