If you ask me if I have a recommended café in Taipei City, "STONE espresso bar & coffee roaster" would definitely be one of the places that pops into my mind.
"STONE espresso bar & coffee roaster" is located roughly equidistant from the Xinyi Anhe Station and the Liuzhangli Station, about a 10-minute walk from either station.
The shop isn't very big; it has a mezzanine design with seating on both the first and second floors, plus two small tables outside. If the weather is nice, sitting outside is quite pleasant. The indoor lighting is somewhat dim, and the music is pretty loud, but it’s not uncomfortable. Customers also tend to lower their voices, showing a certain mutual understanding.
It feels like the coffee here is quite popular among foreigners. They start serving at 1 PM, and when I arrived at 1 PM, I found a few customers waiting outside for the doors to open, including two groups of foreign guests.
Although this is a café, what I love the most isn't the coffee products, but their brown sugar milk!!!!
Hot Brown Sugar Milk $160
Every time I visit this café, I order this drink because I fell deeply in love with it after my first sip. To be honest, the sweetness is not low, but the rich aroma of brown sugar gives a full sense of healing and happiness. Since then, I have been unable to order anything else here.
Salted Flower Premium Chocolate Cake $170
It looks very attractive, with fresh cream (?) flowing down the chocolate cake, making it very tempting. To be honest, I feel that the saltiness isn't very pronounced; overall, the sweetness seems to stand out more. I think it's a delicious chocolate cake, but compared to the next dessert, it is less impressive.
Miso Financier $150
This is the first time I've ordered this dessert, and I was blown away!!! Why did I not discover it sooner!!! The exterior is super crispy and smells amazing! The cake itself isn’t dry; it can be described as crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! It's so tasty; it turns out that miso and sweets go so well together~~~ Two small pieces of financier are not cheap at this price, but promise me, you must order this if you come here!
