If you choose Chuncheon as a tourist attraction in the suburbs of Seoul, you must come to eat the authentic Chuncheon stir-fried chicken!
In order to promote sightseeing in Chuncheon, you can go to the station visitor center to arrange a 3-hour taxi for foreigners to take tourists to various scenic spots. There is actually a spicy fried chicken street in downtown Chuncheon, but this one was recommended by the staff at the visitor center (it was introduced by a Taiwanese YouTuber (search for the one with the highest views in Chuncheon)). It is located on the way to the cable car on the lake, and it should be difficult to reach by public transportation. .
As soon as we sat down, we saw the oversized stove and the oversized frying pan. I thought to myself that we should be able to finish the meal... The staff can simply communicate in English to order food, and will also come to help with the cooking (when they can't stand it anymore) and have a little chat and interaction. .
I still can’t believe that Koreans say it’s not spicy, but this time it’s really not that spicy. In addition to the chicken, the fried chicken also comes with rice cakes, sweet potato fries, cabbage and a few slices of green vegetables. Stir-fry briefly to release the moisture from the vegetables, then coat the chicken with the hot sauce to keep the chicken tender and tender. The sweet potato strips are also addictive in the end. After turning off the heat, the stir-fry plate is kept warm so that the sweetness of the sweet potatoes is not lost. It goes great with the sauce. In fact, the portion of fried chicken was almost the same, but I ordered fried rice just to try it out, and it turned out surprisingly delicious! They even packed it as food for the car back to Seoul.
We all think this is the best meal we have had so far in our trip to Korea. If we don’t have to rush for time, we will definitely enjoy it more while eating while looking at the scenery outside the floor-to-ceiling windows😌
