The old brand <Chengdu Starfruit Ice> in Ximending was founded in 1966 and has nearly 60 years of history. It later relocated to its current site, and the new store interior is brighter, with a green-themed decoration that resonates with the starfruit vibe, giving the whole place a youthful and artistic atmosphere.

They sell starfruit soup, pineapple soup, starfruit ice, pineapple ice, and plum salt ice, which are the nostalgic flavors that are most refreshing in Ximending. I visited on a holiday evening and had to queue, but not for long; I got my drink in about 10 minutes.

⭐️ Starfruit Soup $30
It is pickled using traditional methods and prepared fresh!
The small cup is about 350ml, with a rich starfruit flavor, small crushed ice inside, and a balanced sweet and sour taste that is refreshing and thirst-quenching overall.

⭐️ Starfruit Ice $50
This cup was ordered by a friend; I took a couple of sips.
It has an old-fashioned natural sweet and salty flavor. After the starfruit is harvested, it's handpicked, salted, cooked with sugar, and chilled, resulting in this sweet and sour starfruit ice.

The portion of starfruit ice is smaller, with a few pieces of pickled starfruit and more crushed ice inside. If you're not looking to have chunks of starfruit flesh, you can simply go for the starfruit soup instead.

‼️ Conclusion:
Many people have reported poor service attitudes from the staff, but I didn't encounter such behavior during my visit. The starfruit soup is truly a refreshing drink that I found delicious. If I'm passing by again, I would be willing to buy it again.
