This time I came to the exotic rice bar on Nanzi Dexiang Road, which specializes in a variety of uniquely flavored fried rice and risotto, offering a wide range of choices. If you usually think that fried rice only has a few flavors, you will definitely be surprised here. My favorite is their Thai basil pork fried rice. When the fried rice is served, it is fragrant all around, the pork is savory and flavorful, paired with a hint of spiciness and a light tomato aroma, adding more layers to the overall taste. The rice grains are distinct and dry, not greasy at all, making it truly enjoyable.

Besides the Thai basil pork, their Thai fried rice and green curry are also highly recommended. The Thai fried rice is sweet, sour, and savory, making it very appetizing; the green curry is rich with a bit of spice. However, every time I can only order one serving, and it’s really a pity that my stomach isn’t bigger because I would love to try several flavors at once.

In terms of price, the Thai basil pork fried rice that I often ordered used to be 95 TWD, but it has now increased to 115 TWD. Although I can’t help but feel a bit wistful about it, considering the ingredients, flavors, and portion sizes, it’s actually still quite worth it. Especially when dining in, the restaurant provides honey water for self-service, and having fried rice with a refreshing glass of honey water adds a delightful touch to the savory flavors.

Overall, the exotic rice bar is a small place that offers a different experience from traditional fried rice, with stable flavors and a diverse selection. Even after the price adjustment, I still think it’s worth revisiting.
