🎖️ Carl’s Jr.🎖️
Ever since Carl's Jr. closed down in Shanghai, I haven't really been to Qingdao Airport, so it's been a while since I last saw it. I didn't expect to encounter Carl's Jr. again at Wuxi Shuofang Airport. Wuxi truly deserves to be the capital of Jiangsu Province. (Really?) The first Carl's Jr. in Jiangnan opened here.
Since I needed to catch a noon flight, I arrived at Wuxi Shuofang Airport around 10 o'clock and became the first customer of Carl's Jr. today.
The fries are freshly fried, very hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and they taste great. For the burger, I chose the Angus beef burger, which should be quite large, but they have a low-carb option where lettuce is used instead of bread. It feels much lighter in texture, but it doesn’t sell as well, haha. Their beef patty is quite juicy, and the whole burger is very juicy. I found it pretty tasty, but it is a bit expensive—this meal set (burger, fries, cola) costs 75 RMB.
Additionally, here's an interesting thing: Wuxi City is adjacent to Suzhou City, but Suzhou doesn’t have an airport; the airport is only in Wuxi. During the pandemic, someone drove from Suzhou to the airport to catch a flight. It actually only takes about 30 minutes to drive, but they were deemed as coming from outside (Suzhou to Wuxi) and were forcibly quarantined for 7 days, so naturally, they missed their flight. The absurdity of the government during the pandemic...
