Located in Taichung, Aichu Breakfast Shop features a bright and clean style, following a modern brunch concept that adds a touch of quality and design compared to traditional breakfast shops. This time, I ordered corn pancakes, unsweetened soy milk, and a serving of small sausages. Overall, the performance was decent, with stable flavors but slightly bland, and the downside is that the prices are a bit high.

The corn pancakes were pan-fried to a golden color, with a slightly crispy texture on the outside. The corn filling had a natural sweetness that combined well with the flavor of the eggs. The overall seasoning was refreshing, not too greasy, but it lacked a bit of surprise and followed a safe route. If it could have some chopped scallions or a homemade sauce added, the flavor profile would be richer. The small sausages were fried just right, with a slightly charred aroma, yielding a savory, chewy bite that was also quite reliable.

The unsweetened soy milk was quite smooth, with a natural bean flavor that was neither bitter nor astringent. It had that distinct quality that you could tell wasn't overly seasoned or made from concentrated powder. Chilled, it was refreshing.

Although there were no major issues with the overall taste, considering the portion and price, it is indeed slightly more expensive than the usual Taiwanese breakfast shops, giving it more of a “light brunch” positioning. If price isn't a major concern and one simply wants to enjoy a quiet and clean space for breakfast in the morning, this place remains a good choice.
