The Laozhai Cafe was recommended by chance, and I fell in love with it as soon as I walked in😍
(It also happened to give me a slanting photo of the sunset, the best and most beautiful single seat)
The store is not big, with one large table, three small tables, one area with bar tables, and one area facing the wall (basically, the upper wall should be used for seating when there are many people)
Because it was so cheap in the store, I couldn’t help ordering two desserts.
Yuzu tea$100

Cinnamon rolls $90
Cinnamon rolls are a "handmade dessert" on the menu, and you have to ask the waiter right away to find out what's available that day.
The staff are very friendly. Although the space is small and there are not many seats, the distance between each table is enough, so there will be no crowding, bumping into others when you stand up, etc. The outside environment is also very quiet, and the whole place is like a secret small space. Same, will come again!

Handmade steamed pudding$79
Home-made, with salt flowers sprinkled on top, the saltiness and sweetness are very layered (the saltiness is not obvious)
There’s so much syrup like it’s free 😅
The taste was bitter-sweet, but it went well together and was delicious, and I couldn’t help but take one bite after another.
Honey grapefruit tea $100
The store clerk was very considerate and gave me a spoon to use to eat the yuzu sauce underneath.
The sweetness is just right and delicious!
Cinnamon rolls $90
The clerk will heat it before serving it, so it will be hot when it comes.
The crust is slightly crispy, the bread is fragrant and chewy, and it is a delicious cinnamon roll.
However, the cinnamon flavor is not very strong, it is light. Those who like cinnamon flavor may find it not strong enough, but those who can tolerate a little cinnamon flavor will probably like it.
The overall situation is like this. It’s really quite filling for one person😍

The taste of steamed pudding is between dense and elastic. It is not as dense as uniform pudding, but it is not as dense as a filling pudding.

If the pudding is not scooped properly, it will fall out, and the syrup will really spray out (it’s really quite filling)

There are many cute little decorations in the store, making it very warm overall.
There is also self-service boiling water that you can pour yourself.
The store also sells coffee bags
That’s a scented candle! Buy some extra little things.
The seat I got this time is right next to the door.

Nice decor and ambience. Food is good as well. Really enjoyed the signature chicken and their pastas are homemade. Suprised it isn't crowded on a weekend, especially since the food is worth the price. Would definitely come back again.

大鶴是我個人非常喜歡的咖啡廳，氛圍很輕鬆、安靜，兩位主理人很親切，經常會看到吧台區的客人跟她們聊聊近況、分享有趣的事，大多數客人會帶著電腦或書籍在這邊度過下午或晚上的時光，這家店有個特別的規定是不會接待人數超過三位的客人，或許也是讓這邊的氛圍維持下去的原因吧。
店內有很多海報跟書籍、期刊可以反映出主理人的風格，總是可以在角落發現一些有趣的小巧思，有來的朋友也可以仔細觀察，一定可以發現一些什麼( *¯ ꒳¯*)
今天點了磅蛋糕跟熱拿鐵，磅蛋糕真的非常好吃！每過一段時間總會想念起這裡的磅蛋糕，來的話一定要點！另外蛋沙拉吐司也很推薦呦！

Its located on the first floor of D'Bayu Bukit Jelutong, the same shop as woodfire.Parking can be quite full but there are some empty spaces to park. You can only go up by stairs so not suitable for people who have trouble going up them.
To order, just choose a table, inform the counter your table no. and place your order. The staff will send out the drinks to you.
Foodwise, its more on the cakes and pastries. Customers who are craving a heavier bite, can just order with woodfire in the same shop.
The Americano was pretty good. Nice smokey after taste and went down smoothly. Service was fast and pricing was within range (not cheap but not expensive).
Was unable to try the cakes and pasties as i am on a keto diet but willl definitely come back for the coffee if i am in the area
