This coffee shop in Taichung is quite impressive! During the day, it's a café, and at night it transforms into a chill cocktail bar. It's conveniently located next to the Green River, and the entire environment and atmosphere are spot on.

📌 Environment:

I chose to visit in the afternoon, and the shop had cute cats inside. The weather was great that day, and the cats were lounging on their beds soaking up the sun, which was super therapeutic and adorable.

My favorite part was the shelf filled with the "Blue Giant" comics.

These comics tell the story of a Japanese boy who loves jazz. Starting from self-learning to play the saxophone by the riverside, he eventually works hard to form a jazz band and even struggles in Europe. It's a very passionate and inspiring story.

I didn't expect the owner to have this set of comics, which shows a lot of sense 👍 I ended up reading several throughout the afternoon, and it perfectly matched the lazy and relaxed vibe of the café, making it very comfortable.

📌 Food:

Their menu is cool, with each page specially designed to create a cosmic feel, and it even includes the owner's brand concept: "Coffee is the drink of life."

In addition to various hand-brewed coffees, they also offer the shop's special coffee concoctions. The last page is the drink menu. The desserts are created in collaboration with Terroir Patisserie @terroir_patisserie.

I tried their special coffee concoction "Spring Bud" and a handmade dessert "Vanilla Caramel Cotton Pudding." I can only say the coffee is truly high-end, and the dessert is equally impressive, both in presentation and taste. If it weren't for my sensitivity to caffeine, I would have loved to try more of their coffee drinks!

One of the baristas was a young guy who was quite chatty but didn't come across as overwhelming. He also recommended other hand-brewed coffee shops nearby, which felt great. Overall, the service quality was super top-notch, and I really liked it!

Overall, this café really gives off a very relaxing and pleasant vibe. The cats and comics are a big plus, and both the environment and service are above standard. The food is also outstanding. I highly recommend it to my friends in Taichung!

Spring Bud "Coffee Matcha Drink" $240 Hand-brewed coffee serves as the base, directly infused with matcha to bring out its fresh flavor, enhancing the coffee's sweet and sour aroma, which slowly unfolds in your mouth, just like the tender sprouts of spring 🌱. Served in a beautiful highball glass, a perfectly matcha-toned drink is presented at the table, harmonizing seamlessly with the shop's dark decor. As you take a sip, the rich fragrance of matcha envelops you, with a subtle hint of coffee's sweet and sour profile. It delivers a depth of flavor while still being refreshing, truly embodying the freshness of its name “Spring Bud.” It’s super delicious. Friends who enjoy a slightly bitter tea taste will surely love this drink. Highly recommend it to everyone!

Vanilla Caramel Cotton Pudding $140 A dessert created in collaboration with the Terroir Dessert Studio, the pudding is very round and smooth, with a caramel sauce at the bottom that is sweet but not overwhelming. You can taste the fragrance of the vanilla pod, and the entire pudding is a work of art that whets the appetite.

At the entrance of the coffee shop, it is low-key yet has a sense of quality.

The store cat lazily lies on the lounge chair, soaking up the sun, looking very soothing for the body and mind.

I think the calligraphy of "Returning Home" has a strong artistic sense.

This time, sitting inside the bar counter allows for a view of the entire café.

There are quite a few manga and books on the shelf. Among them, my favorite "Blue Giant" has a complete set; the owner really has great taste. I spent a leisurely afternoon enjoying coffee with this set of manga.
