On a hot afternoon, I discovered a dessert shop marked on the map. They have sugar cane ice that I haven't tried before and shaved ice, which I really like. From the moment I walked in until I left, there were constant streams of customers, and the decor has a Japanese style. It's close to the MRT station, so it's very convenient for everyone to get there!

＞ Inside, there are three large scoops of sugar cane ice, paired with mashed taro, red beans, soft peanuts, and taro balls. I feel like there’s a bit too much sugar cane ice, because the sweetness of the ingredients isn't overwhelmingly sweet; the sugar cane ice has just a subtle sweet aroma, which doesn’t taste sweet for a frozen dessert, and it's super cold! 😂 (For those with sensitive teeth or those who get headaches from vasoconstriction, please eat slowly.)
◽ Crazy Taro Ice ✨ $115
＞ I think this price is really reasonable! On top, there’s a Showa-style baked pudding 🍮 on a base of shaved ice, drizzled with some taro paste and milk sauce (probably condensed milk?). Compared to the sugar cane ice, this one is quite sweet! 😂 (Later, I poured the melted ice onto the sugar cane ice and ate it together.) A separate dish of taro balls is included.
Now for some key points!
- Eating the taro balls alone, I discovered that there is real taro inside! Super great!
- The Showa baked pudding has a caramel aroma, slightly firm with a fluffy texture—so delicious! 😋
- I thought the taro on top was just a little bit, but digging beneath the ice reveals two large scoops of thick taro paste. 🤩 It has a creamy, fragrant taro flavor.
