This old-school boneless goose meat seafood stir-fry restaurant located in Taichung is truly a hidden gem highly recommended by locals! The business is so good that it's almost absurd, and even TV stations often come to interview them. Although we couldn't make a reservation that day, the waiting time was relatively quick. I almost always stop by whenever I travel to Taichung, and this is my third visit.
Their goose meat is the signature dish among the signatures; it is extremely tender and completely boneless, and almost every table orders a plate. The stir-fried dishes also come out very quickly, earning top marks for efficiency.
The three-cup squid is fresh and chewy, and although the stir-fried conch meat is not a big portion, it tastes great. The stir-fried beef with seasonal vegetables has sizeable chunks of beef cooked perfectly to about 80% rare, making it particularly good with rice. The stir-fried large intestine with ginger was refreshingly sour and very appetizing, while the chicken soup with chili was rich and flavorful, with generous servings of broth, though the chicken skin occasionally had a little feather, which was a minor downside.
After a hearty meal, they also serve refreshing grass jelly as a dessert, which is incredibly thoughtful.
The boss lady is super friendly and well-dressed, greeting and chatting with each table, creating a great atmosphere. One time, she even treated me to crispy fried duck neck, which was crunchy and flavorful – absolutely amazing.
It is a must-try stir-fry restaurant with stable dishes, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere. No wonder the business is booming like this!
