After finishing the barbecue, I wandered around the neighborhood with friends, wanting to try a dessert shop that is usually unavailable in the Eastern District. While looking on Google Maps, I discovered this super hidden gem!
This shop is located in a residential area, surrounded mostly by old houses. The dessert shop itself is also transformed from an old house! The soundproofing is not great, and the owner has specifically noted that customers should talk quietly.
The overall decor is cozy and compact, with not many seats inside; most of them are for two people. If a group of 3-4 people comes, the owner will help to combine tables.

🌻 Roselle Orange Sparkling Drink $120
The orange flavor is quite prominent, while the roselle part is rather subdued… The bubbles, compared to sparkling drinks I’ve had before, are smaller and more delicate, not too overwhelmingly fizzy.
🌻 Lemon Curd Pound Cake $110
It's better to enjoy it with the lemon sauce on the cake for more flavor. The refreshing lemon aroma isn’t overly sour or sweet, and the texture is denser compared to the other two items!
🌻 Chocolate Berry Pound Cake $120 (Today’s Special)
The chocolate flavor is rich, but the cake itself is a bit dry and not very moist, with chocolate sauce in the middle. It’s not overly sweet chocolate, but it does lack a strong berry presence, which can make it a bit heavy by the end.
🌻 Alishan Black Tea Apple Pound Cake $120
This is the most recommended flavor. The tea flavor is more pronounced, with a subtle apple aroma. It strikes a perfect balance, not too sweet and not too heavy in flavor. Those who don’t like sweet things should try this.
My friend ordered:
🌻 High Mountain Jin Xuan Tea $120
It’s brewed on-site, and they provide an hourglass for timing. Once the time is up, you can pour it into your cup to drink; it’s a fun way to enjoy tea XD
Because it brews for a shorter time, my friend mentioned that the flavor is lighter compared to other shops. However, you can decide to brew it longer before drinking!

It’s rare to find dessert shops that primarily sell pound cakes, but theirs are above average! I’d love to try other flavors or the limited savory pies next time; it’s definitely a place I want to visit again!
