Today I visited the newly opened chain drink shop, Ten Sheng, at the Zhongyuan Night Market. I've tried two of their items before, which were the ultra-rich hot pot and the pineapple buckwheat ice tea. Today, I'm here to introduce some other drink options.
This time, I chose the recommended Lychee Fruit and Jade Ice Tea. We opted for it with slight ice and less sugar. As soon as I took a sip, the aroma of lychee filled my mouth, followed by a refreshing tea taste. It was fragrant and sweet, very cool and perfect for refreshing on a hot day.
The Roasted Buckwheat drink has buckwheat fern cake in it. I think what's cool about this drink is that it looks like milk tea on the outside, but it’s actually a caffeine-free option! This means it's suitable for those who find it hard to sleep due to caffeine. This drink doesn't have a heavy tea flavor; it feels like a light milk tea, enhanced with chewy fern cake that adds a richer texture!
However, I personally feel that this drink shop's prices are a bit high, so unless I want to treat myself occasionally, I might not return frequently.
