Located in the highest café in Sandimen Township, Pingtung, there are many different types of restaurants on the way up the mountain, and even buses can come up here. This café requires walking up stairs both before entering and after leaving, which may need to be evaluated for those with mobility issues. Here’s a brief introduction to the menu items.
▪️ Shrimp, Smoked Salmon, and Mentaiko Long Pizza $450
▪️ Mushroom Long Pizza (Lacto-vegetarian) $380
The portions are much larger than expected; one person definitely cannot finish a single pizza. The crust is of moderate thickness, and the toppings are generous. Both flavors are very delicious! Sharing is recommended.
▪️ French Pumpkin Soup with Handmade Bread $220
▪️ French Pumpkin Soup $90/bowl
There are three different kinds of bread, and the pumpkin soup is just thick enough and well-seasoned, making it very tasty. The bread pairs excellently with the soup!
▪️ Baked Lasagna - Red Sauce with Beef $380
▫️ Add Black Brick Chocolate Crisps (4 pieces) +$50
The red sauce flavor of the lasagna is quite good, and it tastes great baked. There are also side salad and fries. The added chocolate crisps are rich and slightly sweet.
▪️ Quiet Fresh Milk Tea H $180
▪️ Iced Crystal Coffee Latte $220
The coffee is visually striking! It's made from coffee ice cubes, and as they melt, the flavor doesn't dilute. The fresh milk tea is surprisingly delicious and the sweetness can be adjusted.
Overall, the prices are typical for a scenic restaurant and are truly not cheap, but the portion sizes and flavors really exceed expectations. There are many menu items, and almost every table is filled with dishes. The weather was great on that day, providing a nice view; however, there is no air conditioning, so it could be very hot in summer. Reservations are a must since it gets quite crowded, and if you drive, you should arrive early to secure a spot. Nevertheless, there are people in the area guiding parking, which is considerate.
Nearby, there’s the "Shanchuan Glass Suspension Bridge," just a mountain away but not far by car, which can be included in your itinerary.
Just for your reference.
