📍 It is about a 10-15 minute walk from Longshan Temple MRT Station or Wanhua Train Station. It is more convenient to drive or ride a scooter, as you can park your scooter right in front of the store.
🍽️ Environment
The overall style is built with bamboo, and there are quite a few tables inside. When I visited, the weather was relatively warm, and there were about four to five tables occupied, so business seemed fine. It might be safer to make a phone reservation if you come in winter.
The interior is fairly average, with an introduction to northeastern sauerkraut hot pot hanging on the wall. The staff is on the older side, and there is a restroom.
🍲 Dishes
▪️ The sauerkraut and pork hot pot has many ingredients; besides sauerkraut and pork slices, there are also duck blood, meatballs, shrimp, and a lot more. The broth has a slight sourness, which is quite pleasant to drink, and the staff frequently checks if you need more broth.
▪️ Rainbow eggplant; well, I don’t eat it, so I won’t comment, but it looks quite colorful.
▪️ Fried pork (pot bag meat) is the concept of fried pork, and it's okay.
We ordered quite a few other dishes, but I forgot to take photos. 😅
Overall, the flavor of the sauerkraut and pork hot pot is quite good, and there’s not much need to wait in line. However, this time I heard old customers inquiring about reservations for the New Year. Business in winter should be decent. If there are fewer diners, I think ordering a pot of sauerkraut and pork hot pot with white rice is enough. 🤣
