I used to never eat cinnamon at all, but many years ago, a friend gave me this cinnamon roll, which flipped my cinnamon roll switch!! I suddenly fell in love with cinnamon rolls 😍 After that, I bought cinnamon rolls from other places, but this one is still my favorite in terms of taste and texture. I hadn't eaten it for a while, and that day I happened to pass by and decided to buy it.
▪️Handmade Cinnamon Roll $120
Their bread is soft, topped with caramel sauce and a bit of walnut. When heated, the overall texture is moist and soft. The cinnamon is mild, not super intense, but fragrant enough for me—just right!
▪️Original Canelé $65
This was my first time trying their canelé. I took it home the same day it came out of the oven; the shell is very crispy and delicious, and the filling is slightly sweet, but not particularly fragrant. I've had better ones, so this one is just okay—not bad, but normal in flavor. I forgot to freeze it the next day, and the shell ended up softening... It tasted sweeter overall, so it’s best enjoyed fresh!
Overall, I still really love their cinnamon roll! The business is doing well; on the day I went, there was a wait for indoor seating. I remember from a previous visit that the minimum was one drink, but it’s not very expensive; the dessert prices are reasonable too. Although the shop décor is quite simple, you can see the master making cinnamon rolls through transparent glass. Unfortunately, I wanted to get more pudding to go, but it was sold out. I’ll try it next time.
If I were to only rate the cinnamon roll, I would definitely give it 4.5🌟
However, overall, the rating for the canelé is not as high, so I’ll lower it a bit.
