Gochi Japanese Fusion Tapas (Mountain View, CA)

The Japanese cuisine at this restaurant is very authentic. The menu is well-designed in both English and Japanese. To make it easier to describe, I translated it into Chinese myself. Please refer to it.

We really enjoyed the dishes we ordered; everything was delicious, and we finished every plate.
(1) Shredded Chicken Donburi: The clay pot rice comes with crispy bits, and it's delicious on its own. It's even better when paired with other dishes.
(2) Clam Miso Soup: The miso soup with clams is even more flavorful and sweet.
(3) Grilled Squid: This is an excellent way to prepare squid.
(4) Salt-Grilled Salmon Cheeks: If available, we always order salmon cheeks. The sauce is also very tasty.
(5) Stir-Fried Eggplant, Tofu, and Minced Pork in Miso Sauce: Tofu and eggplant are a perfect match, and adding minced pork sauce makes it even better.
(6) Braised Pork Belly (slow-cooked black pork belly with brown sugar and red wine).

In summary, this was a very filling lunch. We'll definitely come back next time. Highly recommend this restaurant's Japanese cuisine.
