【Foodholic Noko @ Kaohsiung】
"North Station Provincial Noodles" is located near the North Station in Qishan, Kaohsiung. This time I came to eat for a bit of nostalgia, after all, it’s a place I used to visit occasionally in my childhood, but I haven’t stepped in here for a long time since growing up.
Even on a weekday afternoon, the business is still very good, almost fully seated. I personally don’t like the dining environment here; it’s a bit dim overall, and there are a few flies. However, the boss and staff are quite friendly and enthusiastic.
Pork Dried Noodles (Small) $50
The dried noodles here are flavored with sesame sauce, which I happen to really like, so the taste is pretty much to my liking. However, I think the noodles are cooked a bit too soft. As for the pork slices on top, I found them tough and chewy; having them just reduced the score.
Water Spinach $45
It's seasoned with garlic and soy sauce. Normally, I enjoy water spinach, but this one isn’t very tasty; I didn't like it and wouldn’t order it again.
Wonton Soup (Small) $40
It likely has soy sauce added, so it’s not simply clear broth, making the flavor quite salty. While the soup isn’t bad, I didn’t want to finish it all; the wontons were average, leaving no special impression.
Braised food platter
Also an average performance; nothing after eating seemed like a must-order.
