【Foodholic Noko@Capri Island, Italy】
It’s unreasonable not to have an ice cream after a meal in Italy. I happened to have a restaurant in Capri that I did my homework and found out that Galato was on my to-eat list.
The island of Capri is divided into left and right sides, namely Capri and Anacapri. This "Buonocore" is located in Capri. In fact, this small shop is divided into two parts, one is a take-out ice cream shop and the other is an inside bakery and coffee shop.
So if you are here to buy ice cream, it is recommended to eat it directly outside, because although there seems to be an inside area, it is for customers who buy bread and coffee. Don’t just walk in and eat inside, you will be kicked away. ! (I was the one who was driven away😂)
This store is on a slope. The sign is not very obvious, and the store is small and inconspicuous. However, it is considered a famous store with queues, so if you see a lot of people, that’s probably the store.
We didn’t choose cups this time, but cones instead, because their cones are made fresh! There was a shop assistant making cones on site using a machine that looked like a waffle maker. The flour smell was super fragrant!
You can choose two flavors, the price is €5, which is really much more expensive than other places in Italy, but the prices on Capri seem to be a bit high ~
One of the flavors we chose is pistachio (yes, it’s pistachio again😂). You can never get tired of eating pistachios. The pistachios in this store are also as delicious as ever.
For another flavor, we chose the special "Caprilu". From what others said, it seems to be lemon plus almond. The almond taste is light, mainly lemon, not too sour. It is a refreshing taste that is very suitable for summer.
Overall, I think this gelato is quite delicious. I suggest that if you come to buy it, you can choose flavors that are not available in other ice cream shops.
