Student Review - What to Eat
I came to the Yonghe Soy Milk shop on Nanshan Road and was drawn in by the large crowd. When I asked a friend, he said this place is quite famous.
★ Dishes:
Pepper Bun $30
Rice Ball $35
★ Thoughts:
I recommend the pepper bun! Most customers take them away in bags. It’s a dish that's immediately recognized as delicious—I originally thought I'd only eat half, but I couldn’t stop! The reasons it’s so good are:
The rice ball is a traditional pork floss rice ball, without an egg. The fried dough stick is very crispy; overall, it has a good flavor, but it lacks an egg, which feels like something is missing. The rice ball from that shop at Taipei Main Station is still the best, but this one can be ranked second.
The egg pancake is freshly rolled out. After frying, the outer skin is crispy (I want to order this next time, but it’s not cheap at $33!).
★ Waiting Time:
I arrived at around 12:15 PM. There were still a lot of people, about 5 to 10 minutes wait. Although Google says they close at 12, they were still gradually cleaning up, but some items were still being sold.
