Pingtung Garden-style Cafe - Mu Chuo Zao Pu Coffee is located on the essential route to Kenting. It's easy to miss if you're not paying attention. Upon entering, it feels like a paradise away from the world, with a large area of trees and stone landscaping that creates a very pleasant and leisurely atmosphere.
The restaurant features a combination of wood and red brick architecture, giving it a rustic Japanese countryside vibe. The indoor seating is limited and air-conditioned, playing nostalgic music. There are also outdoor gazebo-style seats, and when I visited today, it just happened to rain a little, creating a wonderful ambiance.
The brown sugar latte costs NT$150, and the coffee has a rich aroma with a hint of brown sugar flavor, about 30% sweet and very smooth to drink.
The peanut Basque cheesecake costs NT$130, and it was surprisingly delightful. The first bite has a rich cheese flavor, and the finish reveals a lovely peanut aroma, which is very unique and delicious.
In addition to coffee and desserts, they also offer handmade pizzas, fried snacks, and beer, making the menu quite diverse. Sitting by the window, enjoying small bites while watching the scenery outside, made for a very enjoyable afternoon.
