The Keelung Moral Education Academy highly recommends this hot pot, and the likelihood of returning after eating is very high.
Today, the soup base we had was pineapple bitter melon soup. The soup was mild and smooth, leaving no dryness after eating, with a slight bitterness from the mountain bitter melon and the sweet and sour taste of pineapple. Just blanching the meat slices allowed them to soak up this wonderful flavor.
The highlight is the vegetable platter, filled to the brim with greens, including occasional water spinach and sweet potato leaves... among other special vegetables. Cabbage is a must! There aren't many hot pot ingredients inside, but you will find basic items like rice blood cake, meatballs, and some unknown ball (cheese? I didn't eat it so I don’t know XD), taro, triangle tofu, tofu skin, and board tofu... plus they will give you a slice of sweet potato and a stuffed mochi at the end (I hate peanuts and have encountered them three times already…).
The vermicelli is chewy and delicious; don’t boil it for too long, as doing so will significantly reduce its chewiness. Although it still tastes good, it’s best when cooked just right for perfection.
The taro becomes soft and fluffy at the end, making me want to take one bite after another. It’s delicious, unlike the frozen, rock-like taro XD.
There are many drink options, including specially prepared beverages. With such a wide selection, those with decision-making difficulties might feel slightly distressed choosing a drink here.
Many people often make reservations, so be mindful during peak times to avoid not having a place to dine. In the afternoon, there are no strict dining hours, allowing you to enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace.
