This time, I visited Nanto with my family to dine inside Okinawa's Gyokusendo Cave, and the overall experience was satisfying. The restaurant features Japanese tatami seating, with a spacious and bright environment, thoughtfully including a designated play area for children, making it very suitable for family dining.
The menu offers a variety of choices, among which the two servings of large shrimp tempura rice bowl received the highest praise. The tempura was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, fresh and juicy. The local Okinawan specialty, regular soba (soft bone ramen), had a refreshing broth with a bonito flavor, and its smooth texture made it very enjoyable. The pork cutlet curry had a crispy exterior, thick and juicy meat, paired with a rich curry sauce that was very satisfying.
The kids' meal was also designed quite cutely, with just the right portion, making the little ones happy. Additionally, the tofu set meal was light and healthy, a great option for those who prefer refreshing flavors. Whether it was the food, atmosphere, or service, it reflected a lot of care, making it a relaxing and delicious lunchtime during our trip to Gyokusendo.
