❤️ This popular spot is highly recommended, but don't come before 10 AM... Why? You'll find out as you read on...
Each post includes actual dining photos, even if it's just a picture of a beverage, to avoid users who post without food images pretending to have dined there.
Overall rating: 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗

📍 This place is located on Staunton Street, and you can see it when you take the escalator from Mid-Levels down.
They only offer takeout service, with no seating or restroom available.

💬 You might notice in the reviews that they say to take the Central to Mid-Levels escalator, right? But definitely do not come before 10 AM because the escalator goes down in the morning, which means it goes from Mid-Levels down to Central (similar to Taipei's transfer route for smooth traffic flow into the city).

However, the benefit of coming in the morning is that there won’t be any lines; if there are a lot of people, it depends on how quickly each individual makes their choice, but the staff are quite fast and friendly, and they will speak Mandarin with you (which is a relief in Hong Kong where Cantonese is prevalent...)

If you buy just one egg tart, they’ll give you a paper bag; if you buy four or more, they'll provide a box for takeout. I genuinely recommend it as a fantastic gift to bring back for friends before leaving Taiwan.

🚇 It’s recommended to take the escalator from Central to Mid-Levels, but be aware that from 6 AM to 10 AM, it operates downward (to Central), so you still have to walk to the shop. (Sweat)

🥧 Egg Tart $12.5 The highlight of this egg tart is its crispy shell that crumbles upon entry, paired with a sweet and smooth egg filling. Each bite is infused with a rich milky and egg flavor. It seems there aren’t any egg tarts with a similar flavor in Taiwan, but overall, this one is on the sweeter and greasier side. If you bring it back to Taiwan, it's recommended to reheat it in an air fryer or oven for 5-10 minutes to restore its delicious freshly-baked taste. Although the price is indeed more expensive compared to Taiwan, the quality and flavor of this egg tart are definitely worth it, making you want to have another serving.
If you only buy a few, you will only get paper bags.
There are other meals to choose from.
The staff are really friendlier (in Hong Kong, I'm often scolded by the staff, so I feel very touched when I encounter friendly staff).
Take a photo of your food with the Fooca camera, and write a genuine dining review to earn extra income. Every meal comes with a reward!

Kadorar Bakery 🥯 嘉多娜 天然酵母麵包店
BakeryKowloon
Hovering beyond restaurants deserving of Foodies’ recognition, let’s taste some of Kadorar (嘉多娜)’s nationally renowned signature breads that are worth the dough. A bite into these warm, chewy, crusty, substantial and fragrant edamame blueberries cheese tea breads instantly opens the floodgates to our childhood memories of sweet dreams. We definitely could make a meal out of these satisfactorily moist petite delicacies. It’s one of our best “Shut-up-and-take-my-money!” dining eXperience if you support bakery people who make astonishingly amazing breads, show love for democratic freedom towards liberal living as well as peaceful lifestyles. #香港人加油

Willa Jean
BakeryNew Orleans
Can't disagree with their self description: Adding a modern touch to traditional southern cuisine, Willa Jean elevates classic dishes with creative flair and innovative twists while staying true to the roots of the region's culinary heritage. Willa Jean is a cherished bakery in new orleans's heart, known for its comforting southern fare. The place is modern and bright with its glass walls covering half of the room. The biscuits are fantastic and a must have when being in NOLA. We had the fried chicken and tabasco honey biscuit and the bacon and egg and pimento cheese biscuit. Too bad we couldn't try more from the menu. The service was very good, friendly and attentive.

Aunty Ann @ NU Empire
BakerySubang Jaya
A typical Aunty Anne chain that is famous for its pretzels. Plenty of different kinds to choose from. They also sell other pastry sticks, sausage and cheese nuggets if pretzels arent your thing. There is also lemonade for drinks and dips awailable for extra charge. There are seasonal promotional items to try. Food is packed with easy to eat packaging; making it a good snack to eat while walking around. Pretzel tasted nice with soft texture and well seasoned. Lemonade (not in pic) is also quite decent, with a nice sour refreshing taste. Service was quick as expected and staff were friendly.
