Douhua is definitely a popular dessert. It is heart-warming to have a bowl of hot ginger soup with tofu pudding in the cold winter.
The store's ginger soup is not too spicy and goes well in the throat. The dense texture of traditional bean curd does not require chewing, but it does not have the burnt tofu flavor that I prefer, which is a pity. The peanuts are soft and rotten, and the aroma is strong. The sweet potato balls and taro balls are average, with Q but no aroma.
