Kang Qing Long's Wanhua Dongyuan store is located on Dongyuan Street in the Wanhua District, which is quite a distance from both the MRT and train stations. The walking distance is roughly over ten minutes, making it a relatively remote area in Wanhua.
Today, I enjoyed Earl Grey tea, priced at 35 TWD.
Earl Grey Tea:
The signature of Earl Grey tea is the subtle aroma of bergamot upon entering. The tea fragrance is quite mild. However, in today's cup, I don't know what happened during the brewing process, but the astringency of the tea is quite noticeable. If I hadn't chosen one spoon of sugar to add a hint of sweetness to bring out the tea's aroma, the astringency might have completely ruined the flavor of the black tea.
Overall, it is a standard chain store. Although my cup of Earl Grey tea was indeed poorly made, perhaps other items will be better. The shop also sells some adorable co-branded thermos cups. Here's a little-known secret: Kang Qing Long's parent company is the well-known 瑞麟美而美 (Ruilin Mei Er Mei)!
I recommend it to everyone.
