向日葵早餐吧

Sunflower Breakfast Bar, a breakfast shop located on Dashun 1st Road in Kaohsiung's Gushan District, was a place I stumbled upon while working in the area today. There are seats on the veranda, and across the street, there’s a light rail. It happened to be a rainy day, and enjoying simple meals while watching the traffic pass by in the light rain felt very relaxed and comfortable.

All the coffee in the shop is hand-brewed, filling the space with a rich coffee aroma. The prices are also reasonable, but I didn’t plan to drink coffee today, so I didn’t order any. I’ll try it next time I pass by.

The signature (hamburger patty) burger costs NT$40. It comes with lettuce, meat slices, and an egg, all topped with a little mayonnaise. It’s a very simple burger but quite tasty. The mayonnaise is just the right amount, not too much and not too greasy. The patty has a slight sweetness paired perfectly with the lettuce to balance it out, and at just NT$40, it’s a fantastic value.

Red tea soy milk costs NT$25. It tastes like about half sugar, and the combination of soy milk and red tea is just right—very refreshing.
