Directly at the beach of Kokkari, located at the end of the town (coming from Samos), this restaurant offers a beautiful view at the sea. They serve local, mediterranean cuisine with focus on seafood.

We had a mix of starters and main courses all served together (somehow we experienced that restaurants on the island like to serve dishes not at once, even without starters).
Fried zucchini balls, bread with tzatziki, feta coated with sesame and honey, anchovies and fries.
Every dish was prepared fresh and was tasted delicious.
Service was friendly, nothing to complain here.

Prices were higher than in the other tavernas which is understandable due to its location at the beach in a touristic town.
However, still recommended and we would come back.

The little tavern is located in the middle of a small village with no big roads or streets. It is recommended to park along the street which bends around the village (some parkings available directly next to it). From there just take a stroll through the small alleys to the tavern.
They offer some nice seatings outside in the shade under wine. During late lunch time most guests were local people and outside all tables were taken.
The menu has a variety of local food and especially fresh fish.
We had a beetroot salad, fries and fish (e.g. swordfish). Everything was prepared fresh and with very nice flavors. The fries were a bit soft but I wouldn't call it a Greek speciality, therefore not complaining.
The service was very friendly too making us definately come again when being on Samos next time.

At first when passing we were not sure if it was actually open as it has not a shiny appearance in that old gas station. Luckily we had a closer look and found it open.
They got quite some history and won several awards for their hot dogs and smashburger. Those hot dogs "combining natural casing with a flavorful blend of beef and pork with a smoky flavoring that “snaps” every time you bite it. There is NO Fillers, No MSG, lower in sodium and are the only certified “Gluten Free” hot dogs in the country. They are nearly ¼ lb and are served on fresh Sara Lee, soft & smooth, whole grain white, hot dog rolls."

That said, the choice you have of hot dogs is amazing with many uncommon and special combinations. Also available as vegetetarian.

We had the smashburger with cole slaw and a Rippin Rockin Dog with chili cheese fries. Everything was very tasty and definately one of the best we had so far.
Just too bad that I learned afterwards that they have their own craft beer which would be worth a try for sure.

This restaurant in the white city of Thorn offers a great fine dining experience in a historical setting. Located directly next to an abbey church and within a former noble house dining in a special atmosphere is guaranteed, whether dining inside or outside.
The menu is always a surprise one of either 3, 4, 5 or 6 courses. Every course consists of a beautifully and detailed arranged set up of various components and flavors. Speaking of flavors, every course had so much to explore while at the same time every single part matches to the whole composition.
Of course there is a wine accompaniment available too with a wine matching every course.
The service was very good, super friendly and explaining every course in detail.

We had a wonderful dinner in a beautiful atmosphere with amazing food. Definately a recommendation.

Umami is a modern asian fusion restaurant which "is dedicated to creating a unique dining experience that combines the best of both worlds, showcasing the art of umami flavors and fostering a sense of community through social dining."
They serve original Chinese fusion dishes in a modern setting. The dishes are innovative with a culinary touch for an accessible price. Not only the food is innovative and different from anything else, they also serve amazing tea-pairing menus.

You can choose between the social dining menu which comes with 3 courses while each course consists of two dishes to be picked from the menu. However, all dishes can be ordered a la carte as well.
Additionaly there are two pre-arranged menues, the Michelin Bib Gourmand menu to be chosen between three or four courses and which is available as a vegetarian version too.

We went for the Michelin Bib Gourmand menu with four courses. The selection was very well chosen. The two dishes coming for each course matched very well and delivered a journey through all different tastes.
The atmosphere was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. Definately a recommendation if you like asian food and want to try many different tastes for dinner.
