At the Japanese restaurant on the other side of Metropolis, which is also known as Railway Town, the location is very convenient—just a two-minute walk from the sky train station.
I came here for lunch this time and tried the business lunch set. There are two types of bento boxes to choose from. The benefit of this business lunch set is that you can enjoy various delicious dishes at a lower price, having a little bit of everything. Moreover, sushi items can be customized (for an extra charge, of course! 😂).
I chose to have salmon sushi.
For the tempura: It included sweet potato and fried shrimp. Although the portions weren’t very large, they were delicious and not greasy at all.
For the sushi: The salmon sushi was really tasty. I must say it's hard to find bad-tasting salmon in British Columbia. The flower sushi was just average, more so to fill the stomach.
Teriyaki chicken: This was grilled just right, not dry at all, and paired well with the sweet teriyaki sauce, making it very tasty.
Miso soup: Being able to have miso soup here is a blessing. This place offers a more Taiwanese style, not the very salty kind I usually expect.
Conclusion: You should consider trying this place. While most people dining in this area will likely eat in Railway Town, if you want to avoid the crowd, this is a good choice.
