【Foodholic Niko @ Jeju Island, Korea】
"Jeom Jeom" is a café located in the northern part of Jeju Island, well-known for its photogenic corn ice cream, making it a popular spot for food bloggers documenting Jeju Island's culinary scene.
In addition to the corn ice cream, "Jeom Jeom" features a beautifully designed indoor space. The overall aesthetic presents a gray cement style, with some seating arranged in a tiered fashion. Directly in front is a large, high-ceilinged floor-to-ceiling window, and there’s a window-side seat on the second floor that offers a direct view of the ocean, which is no surprise why it attracts a crowd.
Although the corn ice cream is famous, I came for the corn latte. I was intrigued after seeing it introduced by the YouTuber Yi Jia Yi.
Corn Latte ₩6,500
The portion is a bit small, it’s really just a tiny cup, and after deducting the ice, there’s probably not much left, haha. I originally intended to order it hot, but for some reason, I ended up ordering it iced. However, the iced version is quite delicious!
After stirring it well, as I brought it close to my nose, I could smell something similar to corn chowder. It tastes like a fragrant, cold corn soup mixed with coffee. It might sound disgusting, but it really is quite tasty! It’s a sweet latte that I personally really enjoyed, and I’d be happy to return just for the corn latte!
