On a holiday afternoon, I went to Donut in Yanping Road, Zhongli. It's a popular chain café in Taiwan that offers affordable prices. There are usually quite a few outdoor and indoor seats available, and there are no time limits — you can't bring outside food, though. It's open late into the night, making it a great spot if you suddenly feel like having some bread or dessert in the evening. 😂
✅ Summer Mango Soda $55
Mango-flavored sparkling drink.
The fizz is pretty strong, but the mango flavor isn't very prominent; you mainly taste the sweetness of the syrup.
✅ Grapefruit and Osmanthus $70
Grapefruit tea with osmanthus jelly.
The osmanthus jelly is delicious and pairs well with the grapefruit tea. However, the whole drink is quite sweet, and it took a long time to finish.
✅ Pineapple Cream Puff $45
Contains 3 small cream puffs filled with very sweet custard.
The outer shell is slightly crispy. For this price, it's not bad at all — the cost performance is high.
✅ Chiffon Milk Cake $35
About the size of a slightly bigger than fist.
The filling feels like custard, but the cake base is on the dry side — just an average cake.
✅ Hokkaido Fresh Milk Pudding $55
The outer tart shell isn't very crispy, but the pudding in the middle is quite soft.
However, I feel it could be baked a bit more to achieve a better char for enhanced flavor.
As for the desserts, I had them earlier, so I can only provide written comments without photos.
