Kop van Jut

When I came to Amsterdam, I originally wanted to go to The Pantry across the street to experience local Dutch cuisine, but as there was no room, I went directly to Kop van Jut.

We ordered Bitterballen, Stamppot with vegetable mashed potatoes, and some more common beef stew and tomato soup.
The fried meat balls are filled with minced beef. They are a bit hollow and not like meatballs. When you bite them, you will have two textures: crispy outer skin and soft minced meat.
There are three vegetable mashed potatoes and a meat ball (this one is as solid as a lion's head). This time I chose the kale flavor. If you only eat vegetable mashed potatoes, it will be a bit dry and boring. You need to pair it with meat balls and sauce to eat it all. over.
The beef stew is delicious. It is very tender but still maintains the shape of the meat. However, it is a bit salty and the fries are a bit too much, so it must be paired with beer to make it smooth. What's special is that the salad has a pear or a plum. I've never eaten it before, so it's quite fresh.
The beer is just average. The disadvantage is that the quantity is too small🧐

The waiter was very humorous. I can't read Dutch, so when I was ordering my meal, he encouraged me to finish the sentence 😅 (it's hard to pronounce a lot of repeated vowels). I asked him what the xxx that can be seen everywhere in Amsterdam meant, and he explained it to us very carefully as if he was going to give a report on stage (I asked three Dutch people and they had three opinions, so you can freely confirm it). All in all a nice dinner.
