Honestly, this place is quite expensive...
Since Uber Eats had a discount coupon, I decided to go pick up the takeout.
Upon opening it, I found that the price listed on Uber Eats was outrageous.....
Thank goodness for the coupon.....
The large bento was $150, which I already thought was super pricey, but it was priced at $220 on the platform….
The small bento was priced at $120, but on the platform, it was $155….
They set up shop on the porch and are selling it for such high prices!
It’s more expensive than restaurants with nice decor～
I generally won’t spend at places where the platform price is way higher than the in-store price….
I can’t stand merchants exploiting customers too ruthlessly…..
Because the hospital is across the street, seeing that doctors and nurses earn high salaries, they want to rip people off, but that’s not very nice…
The bento inside the hospital only sells for $100...
If it weren’t for the coupon, I wouldn’t have tried it at all—
Now, let’s talk about the bento’s ingredients:
I bought a small portion,
I happened to pass by and decided to order for pickup on Uber Eats.
The bento box allows you to choose a base of rice and side dishes,
with one serving of protein.
I chose:
Base: red quinoa mixed with white rice
Protein: pork
5 side dishes: chestnut sweet potato, pineapple, cucumber, black beans, and small farm vegetables
Topping: buckwheat crispy bits
Sauce: Japanese-style yuzu
The owner said they ran out of white rice and asked me to switch to buckwheat noodles.
I happened to not be very hungry on my day off, so I bought the small portion,
If I ate this at work, I certainly wouldn’t feel full….
Each side dish was a small portion,
The black beans and pineapple seemed like they were ready-made,
The pineapple tasted just like the canned pineapple I buy at the supermarket～
The rice was okay, and the buckwheat noodles were also decent.
Healthy meal boxes are usually like this, simply boiled.
But this place is set up on the porch, and it’s a roadside stall with no seating..
The prices are just too high…..
If it weren’t for the discount coupon, I wouldn’t buy it again.
After all, they also sell healthy meal boxes in the hospital for only $100…
