☕️ Kaohsiung Xiaogang▫️ Around Xiaogang MRT Station
☕️ A magical café in a corner of the city
Wandering aimlessly on the streets during the weekend,
I was preparing to kill time before class,
when unexpectedly, I was drawn to a small tarot café.
As I pushed open the door, I found the place empty.
The noise from the street felt like two different worlds.
Just as I hesitated, the owner’s smiling face suddenly appeared.
Her warmth was like a gentle sun welcoming everyone who entered ☀️.
While waiting for my meal to be served,
I accidentally knocked over my water cup 🤦🏻♀️.
I thought it would cause a lot of trouble and felt very embarrassed,
but to my surprise, the owner first checked to see if I was wet,
making me feel incredibly warm inside.
Even more surprisingly, during our chat, I discovered that she was also a cat person 🐈.
So we started talking about everything,
from cat quirks to how to manage our furry children,
and for a short time, it felt like entering a fantasy world dedicated to cats 🌟.
Since I had just had coffee in the morning,
I unusually chose a lavender lemon sparkling drink 🍋.
Its slightly sour taste was like a refreshing breeze of summer, instantly awakening me.
Accompanying it was the only dessert of the day—lemon pound cake,
sweet but not cloying, perfectly balancing the drink's acidity.
After finishing it, my mood brightened up 💛.
Of course, how could I leave without asking a tarot question here? ❔
The owner pulled out a deck of cat tarot cards.
The cute patterns combined with her professional interpretation
gave me a strange sense of stability inside,
making me feel more courageous to face future challenges 💪🏻.
Although the drinks and desserts here weren't stunning,
the owner’s kindness and attentiveness were enough to make a lasting impression.
I've already decided that the next time I come back,
I must choose their coffee,
as it seems to be the true highlight of this café ✨.
