You must eat eel rice when you come to Yanagawa. There are many eel rice restaurants here. The top three most famous ones are Genso Motoyoshiya, Wakamatsuya, and Folkei Tea House Rokukei. We chose Folkei Tea House Rokukei because we bought the Dazaifu Yanagawa Package. There is a coupon for ¥100 off

The opening hours are listed as 11:30, but when we arrived on time, we found that there were already customers eating inside. What’s interesting is that besides us, the other three or four tables of customers were all Taiwanese, and they were all talking in Chinese, which was like eating in Taiwan. 😂

The clerk will first bring you dried eel (it seems to be bones, fried very crispy, quite delicious), and hot tea (not sure what kind of tea it is, but the color seems to be matcha), and the clerk will come over from time to time to help us refill the tea. , the service is very good

The menu options are quite simple, just eel rice in different sizes. The large (pine) portion has 4 pieces of eel for ¥3850, the medium portion (bamboo) has 3 pieces of eel for ¥2890, and the small portion (plum) has 2 pieces for ¥2000. The amount of rice is the same. ; It will also come with pickles and a bowl of clear soup

The eel is quite thin, and it seems like the portion is not enough, but the portion should be quite large. I ordered the medium portion. With the amount of food a normal girl eats, I feel full.

I personally think the eel is pretty good (my friend thinks it's delicious). The steamer rice underneath looks like ordinary soy sauce rice, but it's actually very delicious. The soy sauce and rice have been completely blended together, making it quite tasty. One bite after another. Finished

Overall, we all thought it was quite delicious. If you come to Yanagawa and don’t know which eel rice restaurant to choose, I recommend you to go to Rokuki!
