here Kyoto

"Here Kyoto" is a modern café that also has a product selection area selling some brand merchandise. The dining space is quite large with many seating areas, and there is a baking area where staff directly make pastry products inside. The whole place is filled with the aroma of coffee and flour.

I came across this café after seeing it featured by a YouTuber, and it seems that one of the staff is Taiwanese. I happened to see that a friend had also visited for a drink, so I added it to my afternoon tea list for this trip to Kyoto.

We arrived on December 31st around 1 PM, and there were only a few scattered tables occupied inside.

Café Latte ¥600
The first taste is a bit bitter, but it is quickly followed by a rich and smooth aftertaste that is not astringent at all. It’s very easy to drink and definitely a latte I would want to have again if I lived nearby.

Here’s Original Latte ¥650
This is a regular latte with roasted green tea and sugar. It has a subtle tea aroma and is very delicious. It's quite unique, but since I usually drink unsweetened lattes, I prefer the regular latte, although it’s hard to choose between the two, maybe about 49:51.

Canelé ¥380
I originally wanted to order the French toast, which was sold out for the day, but I decided to get the canelé instead, and it was really good! The outside is nicely baked and crunchy, but not hard, while the inside is super moist and soft. It was so tasty that I felt like having more after finishing one.
