This home was an unexpected bonus. On my last night in Paris, I suddenly wanted to eat confit duck, so I found a restaurant near the hotel that was still open during business hours and had good reviews (as a side note, there is a restaurant on the same street that has been reviewed by more than 20,000 people). It’s too scary (don’t go there), but the experience turned out to be great🦆
One of the key points of confit duck: the separation of bones and meat. This is done very well. You can eat it easily by cutting it with a knife and fork; the second key point: the skin is crispy and the meat is tender. The skin is really crispy and the meat inside is not too chewy. Dry and still retains moisture. The only slight drawback is that it's a bit salty, but it's already very delicious!
The pan-fried chicken steak is a bit spicy, but with a variety of spices, it still tastes good. It just so happens that both dishes include potato slices, fried or fried in different ways. They are both delicious and satiating. The onion soup has a layer of cheese gratin and is very rich in ingredients. If it’s too late and you don’t want to eat so much, it’s a good choice to warm your stomach.
A basket of French bread comes with the meal, which I thought was too much at first, but I paired it with wine and chatted as a snack and finished it without realizing it.
The business hours here are very long (I heard the breakfast is also good), and there is no time limit, so you can study the menu slowly, and it doesn’t matter if you look at it for 10 minutes before ordering; there is no low consumption, and an old man next door is sitting on the roadside and ordering a glass of wine. Equipped with cigarettes and vented. What a great way to end our last night in Paris with this meal.
