🎖️ 1886 German Car Restaurant 🎖️
There are many foreign restaurants in the Lujiazui area of Shanghai. Today, I visited this German restaurant with my colleagues and a Korean coworker. (The boss is treating us, grateful~) 🤗🤗🤗
The reason we chose this restaurant is that their cutlery is shaped like a "wrench" (as you can see in the picture). As a car mechanic, carrying a wrench around is quite a reasonable thing, isn't it? Especially for someone like us who repairs machinery.
First up was:
🎖️ Tortilla Chips, freshly baked, quite crispy and hot, perfectly paired with the meat sauce.
🎖️ Tuna Salad, highly recommended! The outside is grilled, while the middle remains raw, making it very tender and delicious. This dish deserves five stars.
🎖️ Beef and Foie Gras Sandwich
Again, highly recommended! The foie gras is rich and tasty, with a slight char that pairs perfectly with the beef. One bite, and it’s just so delicious. This is on the pricey side, three pieces for 109 RMB, equaling about 150 TWD each. But who cares? The boss is treating, so we had to get two!
🎖️ Flaming Pork Knuckle
A must-order! They pour alcohol over the pork knuckle, set it on fire, creating a great visual effect. The skin gets very crispy, and the staff will help cut it open; the meat is incredibly tasty.
🎖️ Watch Your Teeth
For dessert, we didn’t have many options, so we ordered what the staff recommended. To our surprise, the chocolate on top of the dessert was designed in the shape of wrenches/bolts/nuts, very creative! The details are that the nuts and bolts even have threads, and the two fit together perfectly! They can be twisted in!! Amazing!! Look at how happy my colleague is eating.
