"This price is what I ordered, because I don't know what others ordered 😂" by the person who almost couldn't eat eel rice after arriving in Kawagoe.

I ordered the premium set, and it really is not cheap—4,400 yen, which, based on the current exchange rate, is over 800, almost 900 Taiwan dollars. The portion of eel rice may not look like much, but you will feel quite full after eating it all. The sauce on the eel itself is minimal and mostly absorbed by the eel, so compared to the eel rice typically found in Taiwan, it tends to be a bit dry. Additionally, probably due to the cooking method, the bottom of their eel is slightly burnt, so you might need to drink water to avoid irritation in your throat.
The pickled vegetables served as a side are really appetizing, and the soup may be to help alleviate greasiness; it doesn't have a strong flavor and is quite mild (?)

The owner is very nice. As soon as I entered the shop, she warmly greeted the customers, and even though we couldn't communicate well, she patiently tried to understand what we were saying (I'm sorry, my Japanese is really bad, but I made an effort to communicate 🙈).

As soon as you step inside the store, you can feel the rich traditional Japanese ambiance. Maybe because of the higher price point, they create a good atmosphere. Unfortunately, we were seated near the entrance, so it was actually quite warm during the meal 😂
