The "Qiao Ye Handmade Snack Box" is tucked away on the first floor of a building, featuring a minimalist design with a touch of artistic flair. Outside the glass door, there are a few potted plants that add a bit of greenery to the storefront.
Upon entering the shop, you'll notice that while the dining area is small, the overall environment is warm and tidy (and there’s a little girl sitting there watching TV 🤣). Various small figurines and lucky cats are displayed next to the counter, which help to create a relaxing atmosphere. However, the feeling of congestion might be a bit strong if you choose to dine in, as the space is truly limited, accommodating only about four people for dining. If there are other customers picking up their orders, it can get a bit crowded.
New Orleans Pan-Seared Chicken Thigh (105 NT dollars)
This time I ordered the New Orleans pan-seared chicken thigh meal box, and the moment I took a bite, I was amazed!!! The skin was incredibly crispy—this is the first time I've tasted such a chicken thigh, and I highly recommend it! It’s not greasy at all; the chicken itself is tender and juicy, with each bite carrying a subtle spice aroma. It's genuinely delicious, the kind of dish that makes you want to visit again specifically for it.
The side dishes are relatively simple and healthy, including green beans, curry, okra, boiled eggs, tomatoes, Chinese broccoli, and cabbage. The seasoning is rather mild, without excessive salt or grease, aligning well with the healthy meal box concept. However, for me, several of these dishes are not to my liking, such as okra and Chinese broccoli with green beans. But food preferences really vary 🤣—some people love them while others do not!
