"Taichung South District specializes in beef tongue and offal barbecue rice bowls."

🔺 Environment
It's very hard to park outside, both for cars and scooters, as it's mostly red lines.
The seating arrangement inside is quite spacious, with couch-like seats! It feels very comfortable to sit on. 😌
The business is pretty good, and cash payment is required, so take note. ⚠️

🔺 Meal
Beef tongue rice bowl + extra meat 💰250 + 120 = 370
The rice bowl comes with a bowl of bonito broth, which tastes ordinary.
The extra meat portion is quite generous, enough to go with the rice.
The beef tongue is thinly sliced, and the green onion sauce on the rice elevates the flavor. Unfortunately, each slice of beef tongue is a bit tough to chew.
My friend's "thick-cut beef tongue" was so tough that it was hard to swallow.
The side dishes of tofu, cabbage, and mushrooms are all cooked very well; the cabbage has no weird taste. Many places’ stir-fried cabbage can have an off flavor (probably because it's not cooked through enough).

🤗 Summary
The portions were enough that we couldn't finish our white rice, though my friend's diaphragm was a bit tough despite having a pink hue.
Regardless of the thickness, the beef tongue is tough and difficult to chew, which is a big disappointment.
The side dishes were all delicious, but unfortunately, the main attraction did not perform well. 🥲
